Eggnog Scones Recipe – A new type of really good biscuit for breakfast
Many of these recipes are from my childhood. Not many days would pass before my mom was cooking up some kind of magic in the kitchen. If it wasn’t dinner then it was definitely breakfast. If you haven’t tried scones in the morning, you’re missing out. For those that are used to a biscuit with your eggs and bacon, try this recipe. I know you’ll love it. They are great without anything, but I’d recommend berry jam. Oh goodness, I’m getting hungry. 🙂
This has been handed down from grandma “Rhee” (my mom) just to share with you.

2 Cups – Flour
1 Tablespoon – Baking Powder
2 Tablespoons – Sugar
1/4 Cup – Butter
2/3 Cup – Eggnog
Sift together dry ingredients. (Yes, this does take extra effort, but it really makes a difference!) Cut butter into dry ingredients. Add eggnog very slowly…just enough to form a ball. Knead 10 times. (Don’t be the too kneady type!)
Roll into a circle and cut into pie-shaped slices. Sprinkle with a touch of granulated sugar. Bake at 475 degrees for 10 minutes. This is our favorite winter (or summer) Saturday morning breakfast!
